Mirpur Mathelo: The engine and five carriages of a freight train derailed near Mirpur Mathelo Railway Station.
According to railway authorities, the incident occurred a short distance from Mirpur Mathelo Railway Station, where the engine and five carriages of the freight train came off the track. The railway track at the site was damaged, causing the carriages to separate.
Officials stated that as a result of the accident, both the up and down tracks were blocked, and passenger trains were halted at various stations.
Railway authorities are currently working to restore the track, and it is expected to be repaired within a few hours.
Subsequently, after repairs, the damaged track near Mirpur Mathelo Railway Station was restored. Railway officials said that once the track was back in operation, train services on both the up and down tracks resumed, and delayed passenger trains departed for their destinations.
