The Punjab government has announced the schedule for the Punjab Bike Scheme 2024. The Provincial Minister for Transport, Bilal Akbar Khan, led a meeting to review the scheme's progress, which aims to provide 20,000 bikes to deserving students.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the response from students has been overwhelming, with over 100,000 applications received. The balloting for the 20,000 bikes will take place on May 10.
Minister Bilal Akbar Khan expressed satisfaction with the high level of interest from students, especially noting that more female students applied compared to male students.
He also emphasized that the balloting process will be transparent, reflecting the government's commitment to fairness. Applications with objections were carefully reviewed to ensure procedural integrity.
