March 8 is observed as an International Women’s Day in Pakistan and around the world, with the aim of raising awareness about women’s rights.

On this occasion, Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) has released a special video in recognition of the services of women who have always been determined to pledge their lives for the security of the country.

The exclusive video contains messages from women of Pakistan’s three armed forces, police and Rangers that they are proud to serve the country.

“Women of the Pakistan Armed Forces are playing a significant role in the development of the country. It is an honour for me to wear this uniform,” said Captain Huma of the Pakistan Army.

Pakistan Air Force Squadron Leader Saima said that she never thought that women could fly, we have reached here with enthusiasm and dedication and with this determination, we think of going further.

In the video, Pakistan Navy Lieutenant Commander Sana said that she is committed to serving the homeland.

“I belong to the tribal region of Pakistan. I am proud to be representing tribal women and playing my part in protecting my country alongside men,” said ACF’s Faryal Naeem.

Syeda Sonia of Sindh Police says that she is thankful that she has been chosen to protect the lives and property of the people of this country and women are performing duties alongside men.

“I am proud to be part of the police,” she added.

Rangers’ Nadia Khan considers herself one of the luckiest people to be chosen to protect Pakistan.

“On International Women’s Day, I want to send a message to the women of the nation: don’t wait for someone else to speak up for you, it’s you who can change the world,” says Hajira of AFNS. ۔

“A woman can make a difference, but together we can change the world,” said Ayesha, a Pakistani army captain.

Major Sunila of Pak Army Medical Corps says that we women as mothers, sisters, daughters and wives always strive for the welfare of our family but we also have to play our full role alongside men for the development of our country.

It should be noted that on International Women’s Day, various events, seminars and demonstrations are held in almost all countries of the world every year and their rights are highlighted and services are recognized.
