As per the new plan, multiple private companies will now be allowed to manufacture and distribute plates to customers.
Excise Director General Faisal Fareed has issued a notification instructing officials to refrain from collecting fees for number plates.
It is probable that connecting private companies will not only streamline the process but also potentially decrease costs by up to Rs500.
