Karachi: The Pakistan stock exchange experienced with a positive note during weekly trading with the gaining of 611 points in 100 bench mark.
The weeks start with 138,597 points and ends up on 139,207 points, crossing the psychological threshold of 139,200.
Despite witnessing three bearish sessions out of five trading days, the market managed to close the week on an upward trajectory. The index peaked at 140,202 points during the week, while the lowest point was recorded at 138,149.
Market capitalization also saw notable growth, increasing by Rs. 171 billion to reach Rs. 16,688 billion by week’s end. Nearly half of the listed companies experienced positive share price movements, with 44.31% (around 1,065 companies) witnessing gains, compared to 1,175 companies that declined.
