Islamabad: Pakistan has sent another six Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipments to the international market. This move brings the total number of cargoes redirected to eleven, according to sources. It marks a significant increase in Pakistan's contribution to global supply.

This latest action follows an earlier decision to reroute five LNG shipments to the worldwide spot market. Pakistan appears to be strategically adjusting its energy flows

In a related development, the government has also decided to postpone the import of five LNG cargoes from Qatar. These imports were originally set to arrive in 2025. This decision reflects evolving energy priorities.

These additional six diverted cargoes were initially scheduled for various months next year, specifically July, August, September, October, November, and December 2025. This signals a continued focus on managing its LNG portfolio.
