China's automobile exports surged by 30.5% in first two months

China's automobile exports experienced a notable surge in the initial two months of 2024, recording a remarkable 30.5% increase compared to the previous year, according to industry data.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers disclosed that a total of 822,000 vehicles were exported during this timeframe.

Passenger vehicle exports saw a particularly sharp rise of 31.5%, reaching 686,000 units, while commercial vehicle exports totalled 136,000 units, marking a substantial 25.9% increase from the corresponding period last year.

Additionally, the data indicated a significant uptick in the export of new-energy vehicles, with 182,000 units exported, representing 7.5% year-on-year growth.

This surge underscores the resilience and competitiveness of China's automobile export industry, reaffirming its position as a key player in the global automotive market.
