Dr Umar Adil’s lawyer, Salman Aslam, confirmed the arrest and stated, “A case has been registered against Dr. Umar Adil in the FIA Cybercrime Wing.” Aslam further explained that Adil would be presented in the district court the following day for physical remand.
In addition, Aslam revealed that Dr. Umar has issued multiple apologies for his statements. Despite these apologies, the case has proceeded with significant legal action. The FIA’s arrest of Adil highlights ongoing concerns about online conduct and the enforcement of legal standards in digital spaces.
