Xiaomi, known for its smartphones, is gearing up to launch its debut electric car, the Xiaomi SU7 sedan, in China. However, the government's approval is required before it can hit the market, and Xiaomi has requested this authorization.

The Xiaomi SU7 is a spacious electric car that offers a choice between 19-inch and 20-inch wheels. It boasts advanced features such as a side camera with facial recognition for unlocking the vehicle.

The Xiaomi SU7 comes in two versions for movement: one with rear-wheel drive and another with all-wheel drive. It will utilize a specialized battery produced by either BYD or CATL. Different variants of the car will offer various features, including the option of a movable wing on the back.

Inside the car, customers can select their preferred color scheme, and it will feature Xiaomi's proprietary computer system known as HyperOS, similar to the operating systems found in their smartphones.

Production of the Xiaomi SU7 will commence in large quantities in December 2023, with customers expected to receive their vehicles starting in February 2024. Interestingly, these cars are being manufactured by another company called BAIC, which also produces vehicles for Mercedes-Benz in China.
