ISLAMABAD – Petrol, diesel prices are expected to move down marginally for the second half of January 2024, mainly due to changes in global crude prices.
People in Pakistan are hoping for a bit of relief in their economic situation, and there's some good news for consumers as fuel prices are expected to decrease slightly starting January 16.
Despite recent challenges, the country is starting to see things improve, and external pressures are easing. Reports indicate that petrol prices might go down by around Rs5-6 per litre.
Last week, the cost of oil dropped, and this might impact how much we pay for fuel. In Pakistan, where people are already dealing with high prices for things, they're really hoping the government will decide to lower the fuel prices to make life a bit easier. In December 2024, the government didn't change the prices for petrol and diesel.
Now, everyone is waiting to see if there will be a good news with a big drop in prices to help out with the financial struggles.
The final decision will be made in a meeting led by interim prime minister Anwaar Kakar.
